These guys remind me of the Yoshida brothers. I love the shamisen. It is such a unique sounding instrument.
Go look at this Joe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ron17xFNBf0 I think you might like this song titled Kodo (Yoshida Brothers). They've given the shamisen a modern update. I especially love how they incorporate those exhalations like somebody has given them a hit to the solar plexus into the music. It's great. Your dueling match clip was wonderful.
