Tomato Keeper
Think outside — way outside — the tomato space.
This could be the opening salvo in a whole new approach to kitchen storage, wherein the container signifies what's inside.
Where are Lacan and Foucault — and Magritte, now that I think about it — when we need them?
From the website:
- Tomato Keeper
Airtight, palm-sized container keeps moisture and flavor in, air and mold out.
Its unique tomato shape is easy to find in a crowded refrigerator.
Keep cut tomatoes garden-fresh and tasty longer.
Don’t let partially-used tomatoes spoil.
Dishwasher-safe poly.
4" diam. x 3-1/4"H.
$4.98 (tomato included? Of course!).

I can just see a Thanksgiving turkey keeper in the works. No more space conservation in my fridge. I want to know what all those tupperwares have been hiding.

I say tomahto.
I should like a Tomahto Keeper.
With included tomahto.
(It seems to have become entirely too unsilly around here lately.)
