Johnson's Baby Shampoo enters the 21st century
I espied the new bottle (above, left) last week at my local Kroger and was quite impressed by the change.
Very stylish.
Conservation of what matters:
• Iconic red teardrop
• Bottle shape
• Typeface
Transformation of what doesn't (as much):
• Paper label from the front to the back
• Size of word "shampoo"
• Bottle top color

Thanks Joe,
I appreciate the support and the positive response, my firm just designed the new bottle graphics for all of the J&J baby shampoos and we really think it is a game changer for this iconic brand.

Huh?
It has looked this way for a few years now...I have sensitive skin and have used this shampoo as an alternative to the $20 a bottle PH-Neutral shampoo my dermatologist wants me to use for years. It is FAR cheaper than anything else out there, and you can even wash the cats with it :-)

Interesting.
I have a thing about shampoo; the bottle and the actual shampoo have to look a certain way. (Sometimes I think the impact it has on me is more important than whether or not it gets the job done.) I know it when I see it. So far I've settled on the Suave Naturals "Ocean Breeze" flavor because it comes in a nice tall, slender clear plastic bottle (the small size fits perfectly in the hand, with a slight "waist" to assist in holding) with the ingredients and disclaimers, etc., on the back and out of the way, and a nice pleasing picture of a sandy shore with tumbling surf on the front. The shampoo is a beautiful, clear, light aquamarine color with a subtle & airy fragrance that is somehow reminiscent of the sea without being too much like a fishing boat at high noon: not perfumy-girly and not old-salt-masculine, it imparts a beachy smell, leaving out the sun oil and dried jellyfish. And it costs a whole buck for a bottle! In fact, I found some the other day for half price and I bought about 20 bottles. Just in case. If the Suave folks get wind of this, they'll discontinue it, or add some horrible perfume, or conditioner or something, and ruin it.
Oh yeah, it gets my hair clean, too.
