An idea to get rich with

Credit_card

It just occurred to me, when I had to go get my wallet to get my credit card to buy something online.

Why not create a nifty little personal pop–up that, when you hit a personally–selected key combo, would show you your credit card info so you could execute your transaction in real time without having to tape the number and expiration date to your keyboard?

So simple, so elegant, so useful.

Do it.

I find it both amusing and pathetic that the credit card pictured above — shown as an example of the sort of work done by some media company — cannot even get the spelling of the word "preferred" correct.

Memo to anyone hoping to get anywhere in life: you instantly lose all credibility — and can't ever recover it — if you don't get the simple, easy stuff like spelling right the furst time.

I agree with Shawn. I have one card that I use, and I have the number, expiration and secret code memorized. Of course, under the gun, I sometimes can't remember my name, let alone the number, but nevermind.

DiscoverCard has something like this. It generates a one-time use number, complete with expiration date and 3 digit security code you can use online.

It's a good idea, i'm more likely to use my discover card for purchases if I don't have to go downstairs to get my wallet.

OK, y'all are starting to make me feel like an online shopaholic. I've had mine memorized for years now - even the three-number Visa protection code too. Sometimes when people ask me for the number over the phone, I have to type the numbers into an imaginary computer number keypad just to remember them.

Gotta go. Amazon's calling... ;)

AOL has this--they call it the "AOL wallet". Stores credit card and address info and kindly "offers" to fill it in when you get to that point in a online order. I "preffer" the old-fashioned way. I somehow don't trust AOL to hold "my wallet."
